Reflection #6...Dream books this week

This one is from MariaElena....in preparation for Dream Books next week. Bring your binders and any magazines you may have that you are willing to have cut up! We will do an introduction and give you most of the class to work on them. You will be presenting Dream Books the week before break...so know that we are expecting you to be working on them. OK, to the reflection...

Recall a photograph from your life and describe it in a way that suggests (but doesn’t specifically name) why it matters to you. “Show, don’t tell.” Describe what happened either just before or just after the photo was taken.

Reflection #5 and other info!

Change in syllabus...see my email.  Health and Nutrition next week. Dream books in two weeks.

New refection topic for this week:

How does understanding the past trends, culture, history, etc such as was presented today in class help you to prepare for your own future? This can be considered in terms of career, lifestyle, social involvement, oral views etc.  What were some things in today's presentations that stuck out for you? What decade would be the most interesting for you to work in and why?

Thank you all for the great class today! I hope you are all willing to look at how you are managing your time and make some conscious choices about how to improve your day to day time.

Reflection #3

Many of us spend hours in front of our computers and
communicate more by e-mail or instant-messaging than in person.
Some people believe that this is good because it helps shy people
communicate more openly with others. Others believe that
computer communication prevents us from developing
interpersonal skills and limits our ability to have meaningful
relationships with others. How do you feel about this issue? Is there
anything about your current habits that you would like to change?
What did today's presentation teach you?
